Vitesse 14/60 1936 to 1938
13.95 h.p. 1767cc 4 cylinder overhead valve engine with 4 speed synchromesh gearbox.
This was the first to use Triumph’s all new overhead valve engine, fitted with twin S.U. carburettors.
Vitesse’s look very similar to Gloria Vitesse’s, but they can be told apart by their front wings that extend down to the level of the front bumper.
We estimate that just over 1,200 4 cylinder Vitesses were produced, and 2 body styles were available :
Saloon – £318
Six Light Saloon – £318
Drophead Coupe – £ Unkown
Vitesse 2 Litre 1936 to 1938
15.72 h.p. 1991cc 6 cylinder overhead valve engine with synchromesh gearbox.
Also fitted with twin S.U. carburettors, this was essentially the same as the standard Vittesse but with an increased capacity engine with 6 cylinders instead of 4.
2 body styles were available :
Saloon – £348
Drophead Coupe – £ Unkown
