This Gloria model (bodied by Cross & Ellis Ltd.) was an official part of Triumph’s ‘August 1935 to July 1936 model range’ The Club has recorded 11 of these 6-cylinder models with 5 still surviving.
The family of the late-Rod Jones have now made the difficult decision to sell Rod’s pride & joy that he owned for 57 years, having bought it from his brother Mike in 1966.
This well-known and handsome three position drophead is in good condition and has in recent years had its radiator re-cored, an electric water pump added, Dynamo & Starter Motor overhauled, new front springs fitted and new front brake shoe linings fitted.
Work required: hood replacement, re-lining the rear brake shoes, bleeding the braking system, renew prop. shaft UJ and renovation to its wings & running boards.
Included in the sale the Gloria will come with a spare 2-Litre 6-Cylinder Coventry Climax Engine & Gearbox.
