Dear Members
This year will soon have come to an end, and I think we can all agree that this year was probably one of the best years that the club has had, with many of us celebrated 100 years of Triumph Cars at our AGM and rally at Walton Hall which was an amazing showcase for our cars and the Pre 1940 Triumph Motor Club. As a club we received so much praise and gratitude from the Triumph forum and other Triumph Clubs for organising such an amazing event. I would like to take this opportunity to say a personal thank you to all our committee members for all their efforts, time and commitment that they individually gave to this year’s events.
In November we held our final event for 2023 and celebrated 100 years of Triumph cars at the NEC Classic car show. This year was extremely busy on our club stand, I would like to think it was because we were in period dress, but I am not sure it is the case, during the three days we had a steady stream of visitors and club members visit the club stand, you may have seen our video on our Facebook page or the pictures on our new club website. 70,000 people visited the show over the 3 days which was spread of 7 halls in the NEC. This year the PMTMC sold more tickets to club members than any other year, I would like to say a personal thank you to Brian Bromwich, Brian Bishop, Ian Robertson, Trevor Sherwood, Martyn Dennis, Peter Howat, and Tim Cooke who manned the club stand over the three days and finally a big thank you to Chris Barton for helping transport the club stand and regalia to the NEC.
We also have some club news Martyn Dennis will take over from Derry Aust as regional representative for the central region and Mike Botting will take over as regional representative from Adrian Thompson as regional representative for the South West region, I would like to thank them both for there future commitment and for taking on these roles for the club.
Finally, as we are so close the Christmas I would like to wish all our members a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
